SEGA!

I was cleaning up my room a little bit, and I decided to hook up my Sega Saturn to my Entertainment Center (as if I didn't have a lot of consoles hooked up in the first place, but I digress) so I cleaned out another spot, and VOILA! Another Sega Console joins my wall of awesomeness! Game on!!

An old friend returns

Sorry I haven't posted in a bit, I got laid off from my job, but I digress. Yesterday I downloaded Mega Man 10 for Wii. Wow. 10. That, in my opinion, is mind blowing. Anyway, I have finished only one Robot Master so far (Sheep Man), but I look forward to playing more. It's a tough game, but I'm a big fan of the Blue Bomber, and I had some Wii Points floating around, so it was a no-brainer for me. But I am happy with the end result. A friend of mine is complaining that it should have been graphically improved, but I beg to differ. I've played Mega Man 7 (SNES) and Mega Man 8 (PS1/Saturn) and although they were decent entries in the franchise, I was unimpressed. I didn't care for the on-rails snowboarding in Frost Man's level (WTF?), and Mega Man 7....ugh. I think 8-bit style fits it just fine. I will try to update more often, sorry for the long wait, and be sure to check out my new game review show, Power Up! It's on YouTube and my Facebook profile, be sure to check it out =)

Let's-a-go!!

I picked up New Super Mario Bros. Wii on Friday. And I really enjoy it. I've only played the single player, mostly, and I have to say it's awesome. I like they brought back, to some degree, the Toad's Houses from SMB3, but instead of just picking an item, it's kind of like the old N-Spade panels, where it's like a memory card game, but instead of giving you only two chances and out, in the Wii game, if you match two Bowser Jr. or Sr. cards, then you are out. Just the little things like that, really makes this a fun game. Highly recommended. Now if you excuse me, I hear my Wii calling me....

Take that, you Sith bastards!!!

This weekend, I decided to pop in Star Wars Clone Wars:Lightsaber Duels for Wii. I decided to play the Challenge Mode, to unlock more characters. I know it got so-so ratings on the many gaming sites, but I had quite a blast slashing and "Force"-ing (ha!) my way through the duels. Playing as Sith Apprentice Asaij Ventress was one of my more entertaining fights. She duel-wields two lightsabers. At one time. Also add to the fact she has a specific move (that I think the Jedi don't have, btw) that if it connects, can do some major damage. Quite fun. I got it for about 36 bucks, but I think you can get it for $20 now. Give it a shot!

Stupid cough.

Being sick sucks. Got my first major cold in 2 years. I took my first sick day in 2 years (2 years!!!), and I thought I was alright to go back to work. And then came the Cough from Hell. And it sucked. It just wont go away. It's like an annoying person who wants to eat your delicious cake. You want it for yourself, but that person just won't let you eat your cake in peace. And so I'm taking one more sick day. Oh well, at least it's Friday tomorrow.....

A Birthday to an old friend

9/9/99. I remember that date well. After I got home from school(at the time I was going to a transition program, but I digress.), I called a friend of mine, and we went to the Burnsville (as in MN) Mall. I was excited, because I was going to pick up the newest system from Sega, the Dreamcast. I had preordered it a couple months back, and it was my first non-Nintendo console purchase. Anyway, I went to the Electronics Boutique(thats what it was called back then-no GameStop) and went to the counter to pick up my preorder. It was bagged in a Sega Dreamcast bag, and I got a little bonus in the form of a Sega Dreamcast shirt. I picked up Sonic Adventure, but I had to return it, I learned that Sega had production issues with certain discs. I ended up going thru 3 (or was it 4? That I don't quite know...) Sonic discs before I chose NFL 2K. And by accident, they gave me the display case(no game inside). Thankfully, I was still at the mall, and they gave me a proper game, and they gave me free magazines from the store's magazines rack, for putting up with the whole mess of defective discs, and the like. Ten years later, as you can see from the picture above, I still enjoy my Dreamcast. Heck, I'm still looking for certain games for it! Happy Birthday, Sega Dreamcast. May you keep the good times coming. Game on.

June 13 will be a peachy day.

and this is why:
My old fridge my sister gave me has gone to Mini-Fridge Heaven, so I quickly ordered a replacement. It's a bit bigger, 5.8 cubic ft compared to 2.7, which was what the old one could hold. June 13th is when they deliver it. And by the way, it even has a REAL freezer!!! With ice cube tray!!! Hells yeah!! Imagine the possibilities!!
